This tranquil scene allowed for two guests to lounge in front of The Island Inn and watch two lobster boats in the harbor between Monhegan and Manana Islands and partake of other goings-on as the mail boat came into the wharf with a fresh cargo of passengers and goods. The wharf was just down the hill on the right.
